Na kiši

Neki sam dan na ulici,The other day in the street,dok je divlja padala kiša,while the rain was pouring down wildly,kraj otvorenog šahta u mraku,by an open manhole in the dark,našao jednu njemačku marku.I found a German mark.

Sreća mi obuze srce,Happiness filled my heart,radost se tijelom širi,joy spread through my body,iz tmurnog olujnog neba,out of the gloomy, stormy skytanka svjetlost mi viri.a thin light peeked through at me.

Stavih je na dlan,I laid it on my palm,ne bi li mi ugrijala ruku,hoping it would warm my hand,al topline ne osjetih ništa,but I felt no warmth at allna ozeblom svome tijelu.on my frozen body.

Bacih hladni srebrenjak,I threw the cold silver coinod svoga tijela daleko,far away from me,možda po njega dođu,maybe they'll come for it,možda se vrati neko.maybe someone will come back.
